In our area, there are numerous mountain, road and trekking bike rentals both with and without electic drive, for adults and children.
Exploring Podhale by bike is a fantastic way to spend time outdoors.
There are many routes and places where you can ride these two- wheelers and below are some sample routes worth considering.
These trails offer stunning views and diverse landscapes, perfect for an adventurous day out
Mountain route Kościelisko - Dolina Chochołowska
The route begins in Kiry at the entrance to the Kościeliska Valley. Then, we travel along the road towards Czarny Dunajec.
In the hamlet of Roztoki, we turn left into the Chochołowska Valley. Following the road through Siwa Polana, we reach Huciska on an asphalt road. From there, we continue uphill on a rocky road to Polana Chochołowska, all within the Tatra National Park. Along the way, we pass the Niżnia and Wyżnia Brama Chochołowska gates and the Chochołowskie Spring.We return along the same route to Roztoki. In Roztoki, we turn right, then left, crossing the bridge over Kirowa Woda, and follow the gravel road to the asphalt road. Then, we turn right towards the hamlet of Groń, where we turn right again, passing by the biathlon stadium, and head back to Kiry.

Mountain route Zakopane - Witów – Dzianisz
The route starts at the parking lot at Polana Szymoszkowa. Then, we follow the signs through the village of Kościelisko.
In the hamlet of Roztoki, we turn right into the forest, following a gravel road to the Płazówka meadow. It’s worth stopping here to admire the surroundings of the Chochołowska Valley. On the meadow, you’ll find a few houses and a charming chapel.Continuing through Witów, we take an asphalt road to the village of Dzianisz, and then head uphill to Gubałówka, 1123 meters above sea level. The challenging ascent is rewarded with a breathtaking view of Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains. We descend the road back to Kościelisko and continue to Zakopane.

Mountain route Ząb - Gubalówka – Bachledówka
The route begins in the village of Ząb. From Ząb, we head south towards Furmanowa and Gubałówka.
Along the way, we can admire the stunning views of the Tatras and Zakopane. From Gubałówka, we descend through the hamlet of Słodyczki to the village of Nowe Bystre, and then take a narrow asphalt road to Bachledówka, a place where Bishop Karol Wojtyła often stayed.The panorama of the Tatras and Podhale is breathtaking. We can see the Gorce mountains with Turbacz, Babia Góra, Pisko, and the entire Tatra ridge. From there, we continue through Czerwienne back to Ząb.

Mountain route Biały Dunajec - Bukowina Tatrzańska
The route begins in Biały Dunajec at the Municipality Office. We travel through the village and cross the bridge over the Biały Dunajec River to the village of Gliczarów Dolny.
We continue on a narrow, asphalt road, steeply uphill to Gliczarów Górny. Ahead, we enter the village of Bukowina Tatrzańska, with a magnificent view of the Tatras. Here, we turn left and follow the asphalt road to the hamlet of Zimni. Then, we continue on a gravel road heading north, along the ridge between Leśnica and Gliczarów.
The entire route offers stunning views of the Tatras and Podhale. We travel along a field road back to Gliczarów Dolny and continue to Biały Dunajec.

Mountain route Biały Dunajec - Stołowe
The route begins in Biały Dunajec at the Municipality Office, then we travel through the village and turn towards Gliczarów Górny.
Next, we take an asphalt road, heading steeply uphill to the hamlet of Janasówka. At the top, we are greeted with stunning views of the Tatras. We then turn right towards the hamlet of Stołowe and continue downhill on an asphalt road to the Świdrowy stream.
Afterwards, we take a dirt road leading to Skupniowa Street in Biały Dunajec

Mountain route Białka - Droga Królewska - Czarna Góra
The route begins in Białka Tatrzańska. We travel through Białka and reach the village of Trybsz in Spisz, where we can find a wooden church with the oldest polychrome featuring Tatra motifs.
Next, we continue through the village of Czarna Góra to Bukowina Tatrzańska. Passing through the hamlets of Rusiński and Głodowski Wierch, we reach Gliczarów Górny. From there, we follow a gravel road along the ridge between Leśnica and Białka Tatrzańska, leading us to Kotelnica.
This section is known as the “Royal Road,” as history says that it was the route taken by the army of King John III Sobieski during their return from the relief of Vienna in 1683. Finally, we descend to Białka Tatrzańska near the upper station of the ski lift.

Mountain route Małe Ciche - Tarasówka
The route begins in the village of Małe Ciche. We travel through the village to the junction with the Oswald Balzer road leading to Wierch Poroniec.
Here, we turn left towards Polana Zgorzelisko and continue along a forest road to Tarasówka, famous for the Shepherd’s Festival. Throughout the route, we are accompanied by stunning views. From Tarasówka, we take a steep descent along a dirt road back to Małe Ciche.

Mountain route Bukowina Tatrzańska - Czarna Góra – Leśnica
The route begins in Bukowina Tatrzańska at the Municipality Office. We travel along an asphalt road to the village of Czarna Góra, which is already located in Spisz.
From there, we continue through Trybsz to Leśnica and then head uphill through the village back to Bukowina Tatrzańska. On this section of the route, we can admire the breathtaking view of the Tatras. Finally, we descend from Rusiński Wierch back to the Municipality Office in Bukowina Tatrzańska
