DUNAJEC RIVER RAFTING
Rafting on the Dunajec River with local guides is the most convenient way to explore the Pieniny region. This tradition of guided rafting dates back nearly 200 years .
Widely admired by visitors, it is considered one of the most beautiful river gorges—not only in Europe, but in the entire world.
The journey begins at the starting pier in Sromowce Wyżne and after travelling 18 kilometers through a gorge with steep slopes we reach Szczawnica.
Along the way, we admire the most famous peaks of this small mountain range, as well as lesser- known but equally charming nooks and crannies. It’s best to experience them live and hear the legends about them, humorously told by the raftsmen.
