Hello there! We wanted to share what March looks like at our sanctuary in Murzasichle. For us, it’s a unique moment—a time of being suspended between the stillness of winter and the first burst of spring energy as we prepare for Easter. If you’re looking for a place for true regeneration and an authentic “reset,” March 2026 in the Podhale region offers a real spectacle—both outside the window and on the stage.
Sporting Thrills (Without the Marketing Fluff)
For us, ski jumping is more than just a sporting event—it’s our pride.
March 20–22: Ski Jumping at Wielka Krokiew. First the Continental Cup, then the FIS Cup. This is a solid dose of adrenaline in a place steeped in history.
March 15: Final of the 12th Zakopane Cup at Polana Szymoszkowa. A great chance to witness the passion of amateurs whose skill levels are nearing the professional ranks.
March 17: Children’s Zakopane Cup at the Suche-Ski slope. These are moments of pure truth, where you can see the genuine joy of the youngest ones enjoying the snow.
Culture in an Intimate Setting
March is the perfect time to hide away in places with a soul. Our personal choice is always the Witkacy Theatre—we value it for its thick, intimate atmosphere that allows you to truly unplug from overstimulation.
March 12: “PANOPTICUM” & March 18: “RZEŹNIA” (Slaughterhouse). These are recommendations for those seeking something deeper than mere entertainment in art.
March 6 (Nowy Targ): Kabaret Ani Mru Mru for a moment of lighthearted fun.
March 20: A classic, “Swan Lake.”
March 28: Alicja Majewska’s 50th Anniversary Concert. A performance built on authentic emotions and magnificent music.
Tradition: A Return to the Roots
At Miodowe Domki, we prioritize authenticity, and March is when Podhale returns to its deepest traditions.
March 29: Palm Sunday in Bukowina Tatrzańska. I highly recommend the Easter Palm Competition at the “Dom Ludowy” (Folk House). These aren’t supermarket products—they are handmade works of art made of willow twigs and crepe paper flowers, crafted with attention to every detail.
From March 30: Easter Market in Zakopane. You’ll find our local cheeses and traditional hand-painted Easter eggs here—zero “marketing jargon,” just a guarantee of quality.
Good to Know (Full Transparency)
March can be temperamental, and we don’t want any “Russian roulette” when it comes to your planning.
The Weather: Here in Murzasichle, you’ll likely see the first snowdrops, but in the Tatra Mountains, it is still deep winter. If you’re planning a trek, prioritize safety—the mountains are unforgiving to those who come unprepared.
Prices & Bookings: Being outside the peak season, prices are lower, which is a fair deal. However, for weekends featuring major events, it’s worth booking in advance to ensure your privacy and peace.
After a day full of impressions, I invite you to our lounge. Settle into a comfortable sofa, look through the panoramic windows at the starry sky over Murzasichle, and you’ll understand what we mean by a “true reset.” You can see the silhouettes of the Tatras from here, and the silence is a value we personally vouch for.
See you at Miodowe Domki!
