Our guests can admire the true “spectacle” happening outside these windows, where nature is the main actor… meadows, forests, and the magnificent, majestic Tatra Mountains.
The Tatras are the highest mountain range in the Carpathians, stretching along the border between Poland and Slovakia. They are about 60 km long and are part of a larger area known as the Western Carpathians. The Tatras are divided into the High Tatras, the Western Tatras, and the Bielskie Tatras (the latter entirely located in Slovakia).
The High Tatras are the most famous and popular among tourists, and they are home to Poland’s highest peak, Rysy, which stands at 2,499 meters above sea level. However, Slovakia has even higher peaks, such as Gerlach (2,655 m), the highest peak of the Tatras and the entire Carpathian range.
The Tatras are unique due to their biodiversity—there are numerous lakes, streams, valleys, and unique rock formations. Additionally, this area is protected as a national park in both Poland (Tatra National Park) and Slovakia (TANAP – Tatra National Park). They are a popular destination for hiking, climbing, skiing, and other outdoor activities.
